While surfing online communities and groups I stumbled upon some great opportunities for new and wannabe fanfiction writers to stretch their wings. While I have never aspired to be a writer myself, I think its sometimes hard making the jump from reader to writer. While the story and characters may begin to manifest themselves once inspiration hits, lets face it, not everyone has a beta. It may be difficult for budding authors to find the much needed criticism and exposure that some writers crave. Challenges and Contests are great opportunities to gain exposure and get critical feedback from readers; just what newbie writers need. These contests can also assist with original plot development, the absolute nature of many challenges, as well as honing the skills needed to write full length stories.

I wanted to share some of my Romance collection with everyone so I took some snapshots of my bookshelves (because I am too darn lazy to type them all up). One day I will purchase a hand scanner and archiving software so I can keep track of them all. I have included all my favorites in the images below. The books on the black shelves are my absolute favorites. They are keep in my bedroom so i can grab one before heading to bed at night. Do we share any favorite authors/titles?
