So we finally get an introspective look into the day that changed every-one’s lives and the tragic fate of Kagome’s family and the circumstances of her survival. I’m glad we finally understand where her deep rooted strength and religious beliefs originated from and how they have transformed her into who she is. This knew information gives her character more of a ‘human’ feel. In some ways, it makes me connect with her character more on a baser level. This is also reflected in Inuyasha’s reaction. Its good to see that he can finally shed his stereotype and misconceptions as well as his fears and some of his guilt for being attracted to (and possibly in love with) Kagome.
This was a chapter I think a lot of readers have been waiting for. We are now left with a light emotional cliff hanger of sorts. So, what happens now? Will Inuyasha revert back to his old ways by letting guilt or insecurity over take him, therefore for pushing Kagome away? After the night they shared I certainly hope not. Will we get a confession of love from Inuyasha?
I have to say, I feel the ball is pretty much in Inuyasha’s court. Kagome has literally given all of herself to him. With open arms she has completely embraced hims as ‘just himself’. I think we may finally see the turn in this story where Inuyasha lets Kagome begin to help him heal.
This is a wonderful story and I can’t wait until the next update.

I just finished reading Chapter 41 of ’Peace Treaty’ by piratequeen0405. I have been following this story since the beginning and I’m hooked. I am a huge fan of well written Sess/Kag romances. The plot and characterization in this story is well written.
This chapter boasted some surprising twists and turns that left me pondering what will happen next. Will Sesshomaru’s father wake up in time to tell him the truth about the abduction? Will Sesshomaru turn against Kagome and hunt her down? If she wrote the letter, why was here scent not on the parchment? Is there any possibility of escape for Kagome? Talk about a cliffhanger! I can’t wait til the next update.

I just picked up “No Ordinary Man” by Suzanne Brockmann. I love her writing and own nine books from her Troubleshooters series. When I spotted this book on a used rack for a $1 at the bookstore I picked it up thinking, “You can’t go wrong with Suzanne Brockmann.” I must say, it was well worth my dollar.
This was one of the better romantic suspense novels I’ve read in a while. The book starts of at a good pace and only gets hotter and picks up more speed towards the end. The mystery killer turns out to be only a mild surprise (most will figure out who it is before the characters themselves do). While the killers identity and exact motive are kept slightly out of focus and rarely warrant more than 4 paragraphs of dialog, the disturbing way in which he kills his victims and their striking resemblance to the main character, transform the mystery killer into a main character that readers will be dieing to unmask before he follows through with his ultimate plan.
The dynamic between the two main characters works well with the plot and the romance between the characters is done very tactfully and progresses well throughout the story.
Once i picked up this book I couldn’t put it down. I sat down and read this book in one evening. It was that good.
If you’re new to romantic suspense, this is a great starter book. Once you’ve read this, you may be hooked on the genre for good. If you are already a Suzanne Brockmann fan, check this out. Its well worth the read.
